Zambia
Zambia is a landlocked country in south-central Africa, bordered by eight other countries. It has a population of around 20.1 million people, most of whom live in the capital city of Lusaka or in the Copperbelt region, where the country’s main economic activity is mining. Zambia is known for its natural beauty and wildlife, especially the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and a UNESCO Heritage site. Zambia’s official language is English, but there are also 73 recognized regional languages spoken by different ethnic groups. Zambia’s government is a unitary presidential republic, with Hakainde Hichilema as the current president since 2021
